The Lawless Way ... an history, a possible future and living right now
By Philip Bradbury
Looking at our past 4,000 years (from astrology, Lakota, Chinese, Mayan & Maslow perspectives) we can see our future, the orgatronic village. From that, we can understand why we don't really fit into this changing time and how we'll best find our right path, in a way that best serves ourselves and society.
"With exercises and case studies from my workshops, you'll quickly find who you really are. What makes Philip's book different, and a cut above the average, is not that it is based upon his personal experience, or even that he suggests that "we find out who we are by being who we really aren't", but that he provides practical exercises - he shows readers how to apply the insights and techniques that have proved helpful to him and others in their efforts to reclaim their freedom. Philip does this with an astute sense of humour, wisdom and encouragement."
Dr Michelle L. Crowley, Clinical Psychologist, Sth Africa. "Philip's articles have always been refreshing and amusing to read as he combines both the serious and humorous sides of life in a blend of words that only he would dare to write. Some of his insights and philosophies are similar to other authors I have read in the past, but he has a few new thoughts as well. Philip certainly has a "way with words" and his new book is easy to read and full of deep and meaningful questions, but the difference with this book is that he also includes simple exercises to help you find the answers! It's all well and good to read about someone else's great insights and hope to learn from their experiences, but Philip knows we must experience it ourselves and he wants us, the reader, to learn from our own life, not his."

Excerpts from The Lawless Way by Philip Bradbury ...
You may be wondering why I should write a book to tell you not to listen to anything I have to say. So am I! Which just goes to show that we are both mad, MAD being an acronym for Making A Difference. The only time we can make a difference is when we listen to our own inner laws, the laws of our heart, our conscience and our own inner knowing. We stop being the fullness of who we are if we go against our own laws and blindly follow those laws laid down by others who have never walked in our moccasins. You know exactly what is right for you in every given moment and you are always right. You might just have forgotten this. This forgetting was part of the plan as you needed to experience the unremembering (the dismembering) to realize the fullness of your knowing. And what a knowing it is! Do not be afraid of it! It is you. It is your potential. It is where you are destined to go. And we need you to realize your full potential and to go "all the way" for on that journey, you help us on ours. I am writing this book as a purely selfish pursuit - as you find your own inner rules and start to follow them, you allow and help me to realize the greatness of that which I am destined to be. You may have forgotten your rules. You may have forgotten yourself. I am reminding you. You will not forget again.
The Gathering Tribes The tribes are gathering, my brothers and sisters, and you are a part of that gathering. Indeed, to be reading these words, you are a leader in this movement - this silent, structure-less, law-less and organic movement. This movement - what is it? It is the movement home; home to who you really are, for that, my friend, is your sole purpose in being here - to find out who you really are. For the last 2,000 years or so, we have been on the outward path and we have grown to value the things we can feel, taste, smell, hear and see. And so science has reigned supreme, for science can deal very well with the tangible and the observable. Our bowing and scraping has been to that outward discipline, the discipline that ignores the greater part of life that is not detected by our five senses. With our focus on the physicality of this world, we have limited ourselves to the confines of that physical structure. However, the more that things are explained, the more that the unexplainable appears. They say that our knowledge has doubled between 4 BC and 1900 AD, then it doubled again from 1900 to 1950, and then from 1950 to 1960 and so on. So, initially, it took 1804 years to double our knowledge, then 50 years, then 10 years and so on until today, when they estimate that our knowledge doubles every 18 months. But this "knowledge" has not made us better people, for while it has made some of us more comfortable, we also have more wars, poverty, suicide, domestic violence, mental illness, diseases, accidents and cancer than ever before. People have stopped thinking for themselves and have become more subservient to the state, money, religions and other gurus. This "knowledge" has not created a safer, more peaceful and more loving world and it has not created more inspiring, creative and self-sustaining people, and the reason is simple ...

We remember ...
We all remember and yearn for a time when we recognized that, whatever we did, was a call for love, a desire to know our God through human deeds, words and thoughts. We knew that every action - masterful or foolish, large or small, brave or weak - was a desire to see the reflection of God, of Love, in everyday life. Again, vestiges of this remain from those thousands of years ago in, for example, the Babemba tribe in South Africa. When a person acts irresponsibly or unjustly, they are placed at the center of the village, alone and unfettered. All work ceases and every man, woman and child gathers around the accused in a large circle. Each person in the village, regardless of age, begins to talk out loud to the accused, one at a time, about all the good things the accused has ever done. Every incident, every experience that can be recalled with any detail or accuracy is recounted. All his/her positive attributes, deeds, strengths and kindnesses are recited carefully and at length. No one is permitted to fabricate, exaggerate or be facetious. The tribal ceremony often lasts several days and does not cease until everyone is drained of every positive comment he can muster about the accused. Then the tribal circle is broken, a joyous celebration takes place and the accused is symbolically and literally welcomed back into the tribe.
